Orange will come to your home digitally!
If the supporters cannot flock to the Orange squad for this European Championship, Orange will come to the fans digitally. In collaboration with the KNVB, 4DR Studios has developed a new feature for the KNVB Orange App, with which Orange fans can celebrate his decisive goal with Memphis or take a team photo at home with Georginio, Frenkie and Matthijs!
Orange players appear lifelike next to you
A personal visit from your favorite player, who wouldn’t want that? That is normally already exceptional, but sounds almost unimaginable in this day and age… This is still possible via the KNVB Oranje App!
With the Experience Orange in AR feature – which can be found under Fanzone – the football players appear lifelike at the fans’ homes in different ways! With the players function you can take a photo/video with your favorite football player making his unique move or celebration! The team photo feature even allows multiple players to go on one team photo. It is also possible to take a picture with Orange’s best prize – the cup of 1988.
What makes the KNVB Oranje app extra special is the combination of augmented reality and volumetric video. The football players are filmed in volumetric video and appear lifelike in your living room, wherever and whenever you want!
When applying the so-called volumetric capturing, the players are filmed lifelike and three-dimensional by 32 (!) cameras. That means you can view all moves, celebrations and the team photo from every angle. It is even possible to walk around the players via your own device.
Production on location
The volumetric studio has been built at the KNVB Campus, to be able to complete the recordings completely corona-proof. For example, Natasja Paulssen – Founder and director at 4DR Studios, explains that this was the first time that the studio was brought on location. “I am very proud that we were able to move the studio without any problems and that the end result of this fun day is of extremely high quality.”
From May 31, the Orange players can be admired with the KNVB Orange App. It can be downloaded for free from the App Store and Google Play Store. Which player are you taking a photo/video with?
