If the fans can’t go to their national club, they will come to the fans digitally. In collaboration with the KNVB and Dutch Rose media, 4DR Studios has developed a new feature for the KNVB Oranje App for the 2021 European Championship, with which Oranje fans can celebrate his decisive goal together with Memphis or take a team photo at home with Georginio, Frenkie and Matthijs!
Soccer players appear lifelike next to you
With the feature Experience Orange in AR – which could be found under Fanzone – the football players appeared in various lifelike ways at the fans’ homes. You could pose with your favourite football player in the photo/video making his unique move or celebration. In addition, you could take a photo with a selection of multiple players! Or quickly take a photo with the Oranje’s most beautiful prize – the 1988 cup.
When applying so-called volumetric capturing, the players were filmed lifelike and three-dimensionally by 32 cameras. This means that all moves, celebrations and team photos could be viewed and taken from every angle.
Production on location
The volumetric studio was set up at the KNVB Campus, in order to be able to complete the recordings completely corona-proof. Natasja Paulssen – Founder and director at 4DR Studios, says that this was the first time that the studio was brought on location. ‘I am very proud that we were able to move the studio without any problems and that the end result of this fun day is of an extremely high quality’.
