WavyXR, Chronosphere<\/a> | Wavy | VR MaMa Producties<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The startup Wavy has been pushing the envelope for years with innovative solutions that make it possible to record, monitor and manage heart problems in a low-threshold, at-home way via relaxation and exercise exercises. In doing so, Wavy focuses particularly on a large group that has been overlooked for years; women. Not only do women with heart problems have a lot of catching up to do within traditional healthcare, women also appear to have a greater need than men, to monitor and regulate their health themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A “Personal Coach in your living room” is a component in the innovative solutions being developed by Wavy for this target group. The research within Chronosphere therefore focuses on this group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

WavyXR is an e-health solution aimed at women with heart problems that monitors, advises, alerts (if necessary) and helps with rehabilitation, relaxation and fitness training in the home situation. Using a wearable worn daily by the woman, WavyXR responds to irregularities. Using Artificial Intelligence, the patient’s patterns are processed into a customised solution, offering the most appropriate exercise and advice the patient needs at that moment. The data is aggregated and collected, after which it can be shared with the cardiologist after the patient’s consent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WavyXR uses a smart speaker to communicate with the patient, but also uses a virtual, holographic coach, projected into the patient’s immediate environment through VR glasses. This unique virtual coach gives advice, performs exercises or explains how to exercise responsibly in your own living room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How they placed the Coach in their environment was different, some preferred life-size, others a lot smaller. The ease with which these ladies knew how to operate the experience and adjust it to their own preferences speaks for the usability of an XR experience like WavyXR. In addition, the experience was perceived as very immersive. The test participants felt involved and engaged in the tasks. They also consider the Virtual Coach to be reliable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The study on the potential for a Virtual Coach in your living room ended positively beyond all expectations. The test subjects, without much computer or VR experience found it very fun to do and gladly participated in the exercises, as shown by the volumetric Virtual Coach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
