Growth fund boost of €200M for Immersive Experiences!
As Brainport Immersive Experiences Group, we congratulate CLICKNL and Ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap on the approval of the application by the CIIIC consortium from the National Growth Fund. CIIIC stands for Creative Industries Immersive Impact Coalition. The application was submitted by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW). The top team Creative Industry, TKI CLICKNL, and the ministries of OCW and EZK initiated the application, which was developed together with 120 partners.
The proposal focuses on strengthening the Immersive Experiences (IX) industry. IX aims to immerse the user in an alternative, more or less digital reality, utilizing techniques such as Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. The application of IX, particularly in faster and smarter training and reskilling, is set to receive a significant boost. We in the Brainport region are committed to putting this application on the map.
The committee also specifically mentions the focus on content creation, which is expected to attract individuals who would otherwise choose a non-technical profession. The proposal has the potential to contribute to mitigating the shortage of technically skilled individuals. It is a contribution that everyone in the Brainport Region can support.
The Ministry of OCW and CLICKNL, along with the coalition of 120 parties, are working towards starting the program in early 2024. And we, the participating parties from the Brainport Region, will once again contribute to this effort.
